A Sudden Haunting - Burlington Street - Bath
History-
Burlington Street is one of the streets off of Julian Road on the lower edge of Lansdown in Bath, Somerset.
Built around 1786 with C19 and C20 alterations, its now flats.
Hauntings -
Back in the 1920's, the building in question was the vicarage for Christ Church, which was nearby.
It is said that there was a sudden and frenzied flurry of paranormal activity, which ceased almost as soon as it was started.
Could it have been attributed to some kind of renovations? or changes to the building?
The alleged paranormal activity recorded includes a child with long hair, an elderly woman, who was thought to be the wife of a previous vicar and a man with a wooden leg, who seemed to like stamping around in the attic at night, keeping the occupants of the house awake.
Nothing else seemed to be recorded after this...
Thoughts -
It would be good to know if there are any other stories out there for this building or any others in Burlington Street.
House Number withheld for privacy reasons and current occupants.
I have checked the Bath Records and there were about 4 different Reverends in the mid to late 1800's living there, also on checking the newspaper archives, nothing of note at all, apart from a theft.
So unless there are any more recent sightings, nothing can really be verified with this one..
